Life assurance for people with addictions

Addictions

Smoking is the most common addiction. It has been conclusively proven that smoking significantly shortens the lifespan. Other addictions also carry many health risks. Alcohol abuse can cause liver problems and lead to cirrhosis, a condition with a very poor prognosis. The brain can also be irreparably damaged by excessive alcohol consumption. Other addictions include cocaine, MDMAs, cannabis, and even medications. An addiction is always included in the assessment for a life insurance policy, where the severity of the addiction determines the risks. However, if someone has not been addicted within the last two years, the addiction will no longer be included in the assessment.
